Early Queen's pressure should have led to a number on a few occasions, Robert Dunn rattled the inside of the post with a cracking strike from the edge of the box and Dunnsy forced a stunning point blank save from the Gunnigfeld keeper moments after. It took a while, but QP eventually scored when a cross into the box was headed home at the back post by the towering Tony Quinn.
Spiders continued to pressure and the on form keeper denied both Trouten and Canning with fantastic saves before we managed to extend our lead to two goals. A low cross by Trouten was on its way to meeting the feet of Dunn but he was taken down the VfB keeper and it was a penalty for Queen's which Trouten duly converted with aplomb.
Queen's plodded along in the second half and took the foot of the pead somewhat and Gunnigfeld put a bit of pressure on near the end and got a goal back through a stunning volley from the Feld number 9 from close range after a ball dropped over his shoulder. Queen's carried on though and held on for the deserved victory.
