Queen's won three hard fought points with some extra inspiaration from their German guests.

15 fans of SG Wattenschied travelled over for the game on the Friday and were looking forward to the game against rivals East Fife.

The Queen's side were without dimuntive striker Frankie Carroll as he attended a wedding ..... (in Cuba) so Big Ally Graham took his place.

Queen's started brightly and made the breakthrough after two minutes. Young Richard Bowers was scythed down on the edge of the box and Ross Clark stepped up to fire the ball past a static John Dodds.

EF though came back strong and Stevie Nicholas was proving a threat up the right. He eventually broke through and cut back to Jonny Mitchell who nutmegged DC in the Queen's goal.

But moments later Queen's were back in front. Ally Graham nodded down an inch-perfect cross from Trouten and Richard Bowers drove the ball past John Dodds.

EF were playing the better and carving out chances but Mitchell could not beat Crawford this time from six yards closer in.

The second half started brightly for Queen's. Only Dodds in the EF goal stopped a Richard Bowers piledriver from 25 yards.

Minutes later young Bowers & Sinclair were taken off injured.

Reilly was also taken off near the end but Queen's survived the late scare.
