Queen's crashed out of the Scottish Cup at the 3rd Round stage to Non League Spartans at City Park.

Queen's made one change to the side which drew with Albion Rovers, Paul Harvey replacing Bryan Felvus as Queen's went for a 4-5-1 formation.

Early on Queen's Park took the advantage when Brown in the Spartans goal was slow to a passback and Alan Trouten slid the ball under the keeper from four yards after only six minutes.

The rest of the half did not provide much action other than that until the EoS League side equalised on half time. A cross to the back post was headed across to the front post for Mitchell to knock past DC and into the net.

Spartans took the lead minutes after the restart, with Seeley beating DC with a header at the back post.

Spartans passed up two great chances to extend their lead, a cross from the wing found Manson unmarked in the middle one-on-one with Crawford but he put the ball wide from six yards.

Spartans did make it 3-1 after 65 minutes. Donal Henretty heading home a front post cross after outfoxing Agostini & Reilly.

Weatherston pulled one back for Queen's but it wasn't to be as both Paton & Felvus missed great chances to hand Queen's the replay.
