SFL 3rd Division - Queen's Park 1 - 1 Stenhousemuir

It really was a horror show in refereeing by the ever-amicable Mr Sproule but Queen's can't use him as the excuse to paper over the cracks in what was a shocker of a Hampden show.

Stenny started brighter and McBride drilled one into the side net from close range giving Queen's a REAL early scare we bounced back though and Stephen Reilly came close on three occasions, forcing decent stops out of McCulloch before Mark Ferry's left footer from the edge of the box was well held by the burly Stennie goalminder.

We did get ourselves in front just before half time with a stunning finish from Mark Ferry, he had the ball on his left foot and from the edge of the box he hammered a shot through Willie McCulloch, the sheer pace of the ball beating the big keeper.

Stenny's sub Ian Diack slammed home a corner early in the half to bring Stenny level and it was then that Sproule took centre stage. He flashed out no fewer than 8 cards in what was never even a tousy game the last two of which were shown to Mickey Dunlop in the dying stages.
