Queen's made the short trip to Coatbridge where The Spiders picked up a phenomanal three points.

There were a few changes from the side that was embarrased at Hampden by Rovers ten days ago. Stuart Kettlewell , Jonny Whelan & Tony Quinn all stepped in to replace Ross Clark , Brian Felvus & Andy McGinty.

Rovers fielded the same tall side that had played at Hampden but we were hoping that the introduction of Quinn & Whelan could keep out Jim Mercer & Co.

Queen's started brightly with Frankie Carroll being let clear throught after two minutes but he put the ball far over the bar.

Queen's would not relent and Tony Quinn should have scored after twelve minutes he flicked the ball on and his stinging volley was saved by Chris Fahey in the Rovers goal.

Queen's had ANOTHER chance moments later. Quinn's volley hit the bar and Molloy's follow up header was bicycle kicked off the line by Fahey.

In the second half the Harvey factor kicked in. He was marked by Rick Patrick in the first half but when Wayne Gordon replaced him at Half-Time Harve was given what was essentialy a free role.

They only realised the error of their ways after 56 minutes. Trouten's long ball was knocked down by the Wee Man then Mark Ferry rifled home from 25yds.

Harvey was again involved with the second goal. His dink into the box was tucked away by Frankie Carroll.

Moments later it was three. Carroll poked home a Harvey ball from three yds
Then Harvey completed the rout eleven minutes from time. A flick up by Frankie Carroll was heeled over his own head by Harvey who then elegantly dipped the ball over Fahey.
