Queen's travelled to Bayview yesterday in search of three points which they got pretty easily.

The Fifers started more brightly though and Derek Colquhon's header from a Kris Brash free-kick was well stopped by David Crawford.

Queen's then looked to open it. Richard Sinclair punted the ball forward and Ally Graham nodded on for Ross Clark whose volley went narrowly over the bar.

The game was begining to boil over and referee Ritchie brandished four yellow cards in the next ten minutes. Michael Renwick of East Fife was booked for dissent & Alan Trouten for a mis-timed sliding tackle on Renwick. After that Frankie Carroll & Kris Brash got feet tangled perfectly innocent but the ref gave both men yellow cards.

Brian Blair nearly gave EF a hard pill to swallow , the former fifer ran on to a Trouten cross but he failed to connect but Morrison pushed it away.

Queen's then took the lead 10 minutes before half-time. Ross Clark took a spectacular volley on the wide left and recreated the Stirling Albion goal as his volley beat Morrison and entered the top corner.

Jimmy Herkes of EF was causing frustration in the crowd. He seemed to go over easy when Gavin Rushford tackled and also when he lashed out at Agostini.

The half time whistle blew and the Methil outfit would have felt slightly lucky to get away with a 1-0 deficit.

As soon as the second half started Queen's doubled their lead. Ally Graham met a David McCallum cross with a glancing header.

Only a few minutes later there was more frustration at how inept referee Mike Ritchie seemed, Derek Colqhoun blatantly punched David McCallum in the face but Ritchie & his two assistants failed to spot the incident.

Queen's then extended their lead and finished EF off. McCallum swung in yet another free-kick and Ally Graham sent a looping header over Morrison.

Queen's then tried to extend their lead in the last ten minutes. Ross Clark & Ally Graham both came close but Morrison saved both oppurtinites.

In the 93rd minute , Stephan Tarditi fired home after Agostini slipped up at the back.
