Hapless Spiders Finn-ished by Cowden, Cowdenbeath 6 - 0 Queen's Park

Queen's went to Fife expecting to have a close game with their old friends from Cowdenbeath and left with their tail between their legs after being on the end of a 6-0 humping.

Clearly overweight Cowden striker Mikko Paatelainen scored a hat trick and with other unsavoury incidents off the park it was a day to forget for the Spiders faithful.

Kevin Proctor had a great early chance to give Queen's the lead but after Paatelainen rocketed a 25 yard half volley past DC midway through the first half the Spiders precedeed to buckle.

The Finn got a second moments later when Paul Paton and DC got their wires crossed after Liam Buchanan forced a save off the Queen's keeper.

Mark Ferry came close with a drive for the edge of the box on the stroke of half time while QP were playing some neat football, maybe unlucky to go in 2 down at the break.

In the second half The Spiders completely lost any defensive awareness. Big centre half Innes Ritchie made it 3-0 from close range after a corner was headed across goal from his defensive partner John Ward.

Queen's kept out Cowden for a further spell before number four when Buchanan volleyed past a helpless DC before Molloy and Agostini were caught out when Markus Paatelainen crossed for his overweight brother to tap it in from yards.

After that, to end the afternoon, Agostini fouled McKenna in the box in injury time, and the former St Mirren striker slotted the spot kick past Crawford.
