Carroll Stings Shellshocked Toon , Queen's Park 1-1 Peterhead

Queen's held promotion certainties Peterhead to a point at Hampden with an incredible finish.

Scott Michie looked to settle it in the 90th minute but moments later top scorer Frankie Carroll slotted the ball past Paul Mathers in the Blue Tooners goal.

The game was not the greatest for the most part as both sides cancelled each other out with a lot of thanks some great performances in the Queen's team.

The game was a non event until the half hour , Referee Willie Collum pointed to the spot but his linesman correctly  told him that the handball by Peterhead centre half Iain Good happened OUTSIDE the box.

From then the game was boring but the introduction of youngster David Weatherston changed that. He used his pace to get in and amongst the Peterhead defense and cut a perfect ball to Frankie Carroll. He rounded the keeper and put the ball over the bar. A miss reminiscent of the Ryan Giggs FA Cup Semi Final miss last season.

Afterwards a poor Danny Ferry cross led to Allan Youngson crossing and letting Blue Toon hitman Scott Michie put the ball in the net. A cruel blow which SHOULD have killed the game.

But we went straight up the park and the pacy Alan Trouten won a corner. Man of The Match Paul Harvey swung it in , Shaun Molloy nodded the ball down and Frankie poked the balll home and the QP support went wild.
