Elgin Ratings

Last updated : 12 March 2006 By Andyboy
1 - DAVID CRAWFORD
Was not at fault for any of the goals and was very unlucky to see the ball hit the back of the net after seemingly blocking City's 1st equaliser, overall, another solid goalkeeping performance. 6

2 - PAUL PATON

Came close with a first time drive in the first half and did not do anything wrong in another promising 90 minutes for the youngster. 6

3 - MICK DUNLOP
Was his usual determined self and made plenty good tackles, also earns points for celebrating the equaliser like a looney. Man of the match. 8

4 - STEPHEN REILLY (C)
Not a day the former Motherwell man will want to remember. Suffered a sore looking head knock and was caught out marking wise by all three goals. Teed up Sinclair's late leveller after heading on a Harvey free kick. 5

5 - RICHARD SINCLAIR (G)
The defender looked comfortable at the back for the most part and came up with his first goal in four years late on in the match. 7

6 - ALAN TROUTEN
Very, very quiet all game and did not produce his usual running, went to ground too easily under the challenges of various Elgin players. Hooked for Tommy Murray. 5

7 - STUART KETTLEWELL (G)
Continued his great season with a stunning looking, if not lucky goal. Was the engine room in the Spiders midfield and hassled the Elgin defence with his driving runs. 8

8 - ROSS CLARK
Another Spider who just did not perform. Ran all day but went down looking for free kicks a bit too easily and never really posed any questions to the Elgin back line. Subbed for Bryan Felvus. 5

9 - DAVID WEATHERSTON
Not one of his best games and looked tired after Tuesday's exploits at Berwick Rangers. Looked ineffective for long spells of the game. 5

10 - PAUL HARVEY
Made a usual Paul Harvey contribution with good skill and decent delivery passed the ball well, as usual. 7

11 - MARK FERRY
Produced the kind of performance that the 2005 Ferry produced frequently, showed tons of determination, scored a pearler of a goal and set up Kettlewell's opener. 8

SUBSTITUES

15 - TOMMY MURRAY (on 62)
Showed tons of energy and troubled the Elgin rearguard when given the chance. 5

16 - BRYAN FELVUS (on 82)
Brought on as a late sub and did not really contribute. 3
