Queen's Park have been drawn against CIS Cup holders Hibernian in the CIS Cup 2nd Round, with the match to be played at Hampden Park, where Hibees thumped Kilmarnock 5-1 to lift the trophy last season.

After last season's elimination of Aberdeen at this stage, there is no chance that there will be any underestimation of Queen's from John Collins troops who like Queen's, have a reputation among their footballing peers for being a fine footballing side.

The sides haven't met competively since the league cup Sectional Round of 1972/73, in which Hibs beat Queen's 4-2 at Easter Road and 1-0 at Hampden Park. The match will be played on either the 28th or 29th of August with kick off also still to be confirmed.
