Queen's Snap Up Coakley

Coakley started his career at Motherwell, where he never really made an impact. He spent an unsuccesful loan spell at Stenhousemuir, before being released by Well.

He joined Morton in summer 2007, but failed to set the heather alight at Cappielow. He also enjoyed loan spells at Stranraer and Alloa Athletic, before being released in January 2008. He signed for Alloa on a permanent basis following his release, and netted 4 goals in 16 games between his signature in January until his release in May.

Coakley has three caps at Scotland under 18 level and had recently been linked with a move to San Jose Earthquakes, in the MLS. Coakley however, was stopped in his quest to move to America by red tape, and signed for Queen's today.
