Both players impressed as trialists throughout the pre-season with Ure appearing in most of Spiders pre-season matches on domestic soil, he has been training with Queen's since the beginning of the month and has turned out at both right back and centre midfield in the pre-season matches. Ure began season 2006/07 in the reserves at Rangers but switched to Cumnock in August before impressing over the course of the season and therefore earning his move to Hampden.

22 year old winger McGrady has senior experience at both Ayr United and Queen of the South and spent last season with Ure at Cumnock. He won most of the junior side's post season awards and impressed in last week's Hampden friendly against Dumbarton, scoring a fantastic goal in the process as Queen's won 2-0. He will also some much needed pace to the Queen's forwardline after the departure of star striker David Weatherston to St Johnstone in June.
