Youngster McGinty broke into the first team squad near the end of the 2004/05 season and impressed at the back as Queen's recorded a fourth place finish. He started 2005/06 in similiar form but recurring injuries, October onwards, completely ruined his Queen's career.
Despite travelling to Germany for Queen's pre-season tour, the defender did not make an appearance in his time here this season. He made 16 first team appearances for the Queen's first team since signing on from the youth system in 2003.
