In the midst of speculation linking Queen's striker Frankie Carroll to Second Division sides Stirling Albion & Dumbarton he has opted to stay in the Third Division, with Stenhousemuir.

Stenhousemuir manager Des McKeown said ""I'm absolutely delighted to sign Frank, who has been a proven goalscorer over the past few seasons, including 14 league goals last year. Our striking options will be greatly enhanced with this arrival and we now have 3 strikers in Paul McGrillen, Joe Savage and Frank who all know their way to back of the net and give a combination of good experience and youth."

Carroll made a total of 125 appearances for Queen's scoring 27 times. Including two when Queen's defeated Cowdenbeath 3-2 to clinch the Third Division title at Central Park in 2000.
