The fixture list for Queen's Park's first season in the Second Division since season 2000/01 has been released in the past week and if the fact we are now playing Second Division football hadnt sunk in before now, it will have after the fixture computer churned up next seasons fixtures.

Queen's are given a tricky sequence of opening games after we were given matches against the five favourites for promotion next season. It all begins at Hampden on August 4th against Brechin City before we travel to Ayr United on the 11th August. Ross County come to Hampden in the next week and then we travel to Airdrie United for our "local derby" on the 25th before Raith Rovers come to HQ in early September in what is a ridiculous start.

We have a packed festive period with a 22nd December trip to Cowdenbeath followed by a Boxing Day home match against Ayr United. We then host Ross County on the 29th and then travel to New Broomfield to face Airdrie on the 2nd of January. We end the season with a match against Cowdenbeath at Central Park on the 26th of April.
