Boss Stark has secured the services of eight promotion winning squad members ahead of the new season. As expected, Tony Quinn, Stephen Canning, Steven Reilly, Tony Quinn, Paul Ronald and Robert Dunn are amongst the list but there are two surprises in the list of re-signed players.

Highly rated youngster Paul Cairney had been widely expected to take part in trials at various higher level clubs this summer but has signed on for one more season to gain more experience at Second Division level. Paul was a revelation after the new year in last season's promotion winning campaign and will no doubt be key to Spiders hopes of making an impact in the Division.

At the other end of the age spectrum, 37 year old goalkeeper Mark Cairns has surprised everyone by signing on once more instead of opting to retire from football. Cairns, was key in the victory over Aberdeen last August and produced some great from prior to the new year, when David Crawford wrestled the gloves back off an injured Cairns.

More of last seasons squad are expected to sign on as they return from a lads holiday in Magaluf, celebrating promotion, this week.
