Kettlewell was first introduced to the first team in season 2002/03 under then boss Kenny Brannigan. Then a fiery 17 year old, he had many run ins with referee's and was in and out the team for two seasons through suspension and a reccuring wrist problem.
Billy Stark however moulded Kettlewell into the best midfielder in Division Three throughout 2006/07, and he wore the captain's armband from February onwards, in inspirational and typical, combative midfield form. The season just past saw Kettlewell at his very best, and he was one of the best central midfielders in Division Two, his 100% performances were key in helping Queen's secure safety, and he will always be remembered for his 60 yard goal against Cowdenbeath in March of this year.
Best of luck to Ketts, at Broadwood, everyone at Queen's really hopes he makes it in the game.
