Dismal day as Shire shock Spiders , East Stirlingshire 3 - 1 Queen's Park

Queen's travelled to Firs Park on a day we produced the worst performance of the season so far and where embarrased by bottom team East Stirling in front of the Sky Sports Video Cameras.

With Alan Trouten suspended last week's outstanding performer in midfield, Danny Ferry slipped into a back 4 of a 4-4-2 formation , a tactic which has seen us throw up our worst games of the season.

It took four minutes for Shire to take the lead. Chris McGroarty got on the end of a Ross Donaldson through ball which seen Sincy & Rushford give McGroarty yards of space to beat DC.

Queen's were the better for a 15 minute spell and how Mark Ferry or Ally Graham did not score from 3yds was beyond belief , both players Inviting each other to score , neither player took the invitation.

Moments later the worst happened , McGroarty again outfoxed the centre backs and copied the opener to make it 2-0.

Soon after Ally Graham & Greg Denholm clashed with the veteran spider appearing to strike the former Motherwell defender, afterwards the Shire XI got stuck in and chased Frankie Carroll round the box for no apparent reason.

Big Ally then got the goal , The woeful Shire defence let him poke home a 3yd shot which if he had not scored he would have been embarrased.

But afterwards Diack won a disputed Shire penalty which he duly converted. The second half was non eventful other than Frankie Carroll sending an awful penalty in the arms of Darren Jackson in goal.
